Cappagh Drainage District (barony of Leitrim): copy of 1857 Charging Order and signed and sealed Charging Orders issued by the Commissioners of Public Works for 1931 and 1936, setting out (apportioning) maintenance rate and charge by each of the land holders listed in the Schedule; the amount of the charge in 1936 was £2,443.8s.8d plus interest. Includes supporting correspondence including a letter from the Department of Local Government and Public Health to the Secretary, Galway County Council enclosing a 'copy of an Order made on the 6th instant, transferring the business of the Trustees for the Cappagh Drainage District to the County Council of Galway' (12 August 1931), and letter from the Office of Public Works regarding a revised provisional apportionment for plot 12, Leitrim Beg (15 May 1934). 1936 Charging Order includes a High Court of Justice stamp of 1st September 1936.
