Series of files (1928-1949) relating to various drainage districts in county Galway. The files generally contain correspondence with the Office of Public Works and land owners regarding petitions for a scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act of 1925, reports, estimates, and details relating to the preparation of a drainage scheme, valuation of land, notices, and the provision of grants and in some instances includes a copy of an Charging Order under earlier schemes.
Also includes a quantity of original Ordnance Survey Drainage District maps for several of county Galway's drainage districts (1921-1953).
