• construction of a garage to house a fire tender in Kilronan Aran Islands completion of works to Gymnasium / Showers at Galway Fire Station and construction of a double garage at Galway Station (Aug 1989), and surfacing of Station yard (Nov 1997 and Apr 1999), renovations /alternations at Galway Station (Mar 200)  and correspondence relating to the transfer of land to the Judo Club for £600 (1997), and extension to carpark in the rear yard at the Galway Station (Apr 1999). • Specification of completion of works to Gymnasium / Showers and toilets at Galway Fire Station and Agreement and Conditions of Contract signed by Fitzgerald & Dowling, Ireland Ltd, in the sum of £22,4,41.47 (Dec 1989);
• Copy of invoice from Thomas McHugh (Kilcloghans) Ltd for alternations and refurbishment works at the Fire Station in Galway amounting to £13,760.16 (Dec 2000), and final Account from McHugh Ltd, total cost of works £101,939.15 (Dec 2001);
• Signed and sealed Agreement between GCC and Thomas McHugh (Kilcloghans) Ltd for alternations and refurbishment works at the (Galway) Station, in the sum of £82,260.00 (1 Dec 2000); and
• Memo from CFO (O’Shaughnessy) to Enda Moloney, Senior Staff Officer relating to a proposed new Fire Station for Galway City and attached proposed fire service HQ design brief, which states ‘It has been established that the existing fire station at Fr Griffin Road is inadequate to service the needs of Galway City and its environs under the requirements of Section 10 of the Fire Services Act 1981’ (2May 2001).
