Printed Estimate of Expenses and Determination of Rates in the Pound for the various financial years, together with various explanatory tables of estimates, which change over the years.
The earlier Estimates of the rates include calculations in respect of the Poor Rate to be levied for the Service of the year, and for Urban Charges.
Includes for instance
- details of the general estimate of rates, with separate charges given for the various Union areas and District Charges
- detail of the rate on agricultural land after the deduction of the Agricultural grant
- estimate for Separate charges (criminal injuries)
- estimate of rates for Separate charges (such as Corrib Navigation, and water pumps in various areas, and lighting).
From the 1930s they include:-
- report from the Finance Committee or from circa 1944 the County Manager to the Council outlining estimated expenditure for various services, such as Roads, Public Assistance, Mental Hospital (in Ballinasloe), Health, Sanitary and General Purposes,
- tables indicating expenditure and revenue for the coming year, for the various services, such as Roads, Health, Public Assistance, Sanitary, Housing and General Purposes.
- calculation of rates in the county,
- calculation of the rates for separate charges (such as River Corrib Navigation and Criminal Injury Decrees),
- estimate of expenses and calculation of the rate for the towns of Loughrea and Tuam, and
- explanatory tables of estimates detailing expenses to be incurred for each of the functions under the various service headings, such as under General Purposes school meals, Coroners and Inquests, Piers & Harbours, Tourist Development, Town Planning, Disease of Animals Acts, Milk and Dairies, Derelict Sites Acquisition, Irrecoverable Rates, Fire Brigade and Elections.
