The Secretary added that it had been pointed out to the Board that there was no justification for referring the matter to Sir Cyril Kirkpatrick solely, as the other three engineers (Sir John Griffith, Mr W Binns, & Mr M J. Kennedy) had been appointed conjointly with Sir Cyril Kirkpatrick'. Co. Co. Corbett, T.D., stated that having regard to the manner in which the Council's deputation was received on the last occasion he would not ask any member of the Council to go before the Harbour Board again. He proposed, however, that as there were material factors for consideration by the Board which had not been adequately emphasised the Co. Secretary, Co. Solicitor and Mr Kennedy (Co. Surveyor) be authorised to attend the next meeting of the Harbour Board to explain the position more fully...'
