Padraig Pearse School to discuss the creation and importance of enterprise through Irish.
The future of the creation of Enterprise through the Irish language will be the subject of discussion at Scoil an Phiarsaigh being held in Ros Muc ón the 26th & 27th of September.
Scoil an Phiarsiagh, is building on the success of the inaugural summer school, The Pearse Summer School. It is an initiative by Galway County Council to acknowledge the association of Padraig Pearse with Ros Muc and in particular, his confidence in the Irish language and culture, while advocating for a better Ireland. The Padraig Pearse school will be opened by Cathaoirleach Chontae na Gaillimhe, Cllr. Albert Dolan on Thursday, 26th September in Ionad Cultúrtha An Phiarsaigh, Ros Muc, Co. Galway.
The two day school is a free event, open to the public and is conducted entirely through Irish. The two day programme will include a lively discussion on the creation of an enterprise, discussions regarding local history, placenames and folklore, traditional music from local musicians and a mindfulness workshop. The Padraig Pearse school is an initiative promoting the Irish language and culture.
On Thursday, there will be music performances from young musicians from Comhaltas Cheoltóirí Charna and to finish the event on Thursday evening there will be a performance from Ceoltóirí óga Chois Fharraige.
On the 27th September, representatives from support organisations as well as established entrepreneurs, will share their expertise and experiences on enterprises in the Gaeltacht areas. Fionnbarra Ó Brolcháin will explore the advantages of the Irish in branding. The discussion will be facilitated by Gormfhlaith Ní Thuairisc from Radio na Gaeltachta. The discussion will facilitate audience participation and questions can be submitted in advance via gaeilge@cocogaillimh.ie.
Máirtín Ó Donnchadha, Irish language Development Officer at Galway County Council, organiser of Scoil an Phiarsaigh, said the that the information regarding Enterprise will be very worthwhile with representatives from support organisations giving key advice on the creation of enterprise, sharing and debating their views, on the future of enterprise through the Irish language and in the Gaeltacht.
Another interesting segment will be held on Friday afternoon the 27th of September – a mindfulness /mind healing workshop by Marian Ní Chonghaile. It will emopwer you to thrive and not just survive!
