Archival historyThe material, which had been held by the Thompson family for many years, was donated to the Archives in 2018, by the widow of the grandson of Gertrude Catherine Thompson, living in the Manchester area of England. As it was perceived much of the material related to the Macks or had some Galway collection, she felt it was the most appropriate place of deposit.
