File of material relating to the Order & its School, which includes:
-a black and white photograph of Scoil na Mainistreach, [1930s];
-typed sheet with background information on Kingston House, Salthill, which was purchased by the Order in 1877 from Mr Somerville for £1,705, and also details of Br O'Connor's funeral and monument;
-Partial handwritten and typed copy of a sermon given by Fr Tom Burke OP in January 1854 (on St. Mary's the Claddagh, Galway, headed-paper). Possibly transcribed by Rev John Taheny, OP, Claddagh;
--Draft typed 'Statement of facts and submission in respect of Patrician Brothers claim to quarterly payments of £32.10.0 from the School Funds for the kind consideration of his Lordship the Most Revd. Dr Browne' (1939), submitted after Bishop Browne decided that the two Patrician national schools in the city should be combined and replaced by one school. Bishop Browne also ended the customary payment to the Brothers and decided to devote it instead to the provision of the new school. Drawn up by Terence Doyle, Solicitor, 32 Nassau Street, Dublin. Also includes ‘Advocacy of Brothers’ Claim to payment from School Funds prepared for the consideration of his Lordship Most Revd. Dr Brownee’; and
-Copy of The Mantle, Vol.II, no. 3, Summer 1959, which includes an article titled 'The Early Years of The Patrician Brothers in Galway'. p23, with several sub-headings including Galway City 1826, Aloysian Society, Brother Paul O'Connor, and Fr Tom Burke. Also includes an image of Bro O'Connor (1826).
