A European Directive, known as the ‘ELV Directive’ sets out specific measures to be put in place by Member States in relation to the collection, storage, treatment, dismantling, reuse, recycling and disposal of end-of-life vehicles.
Who should Register as a Producer
All car sales importers whose vehicles are likely to become an End-of-life Vehicle in Galway County Council’s local authority areas should register with Galway County Council.
An End-of-Life Vehicle, (in relation to the End of Life Vehicle Regulations) will be a passenger car or a light commercial van that the registered owner wishes to dispose of as waste.
