If you are applying for a grant for the first time or commencing a new course (Undergraduate/Postgraduate)
Galway County Council will not be dealing with your application as it will be dealt with by the centralised single awarding authority. All new applications must be made online to SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) through www.studentfinance.ie.

The closing date for receipt of applications to SUSI is 1st August, 2014.
Unfortunately Galway County Council will not be able to deal with queries from students who are in receipt of a grant from SUSI/will be applying for a grant to SUSI.
If you are already in receipt of a grant from Galway County Council
If you are already in receipt of a grant and are progressing to the next year of the same course, your grant will continue to be assessed and paid by Galway County Council (provided that you pass your exams and are registered at your respective college for the 2014/15 academic year).
You must also continue to advise the Council of any change of circumstances etc.
If you are already in receipt of a grant from SUSI
If you are already in receipt of a grant from SUSI you will continue to be assessed for a grant by SUSI – all queries should be directed to them at support@susi.cdvec.ie or telephone 0761 08 7874.
