The Clarinbridge Local Area Plan shall be made in accordance with objectives of the Galway County Development Plan 2003-2009 and in accordance with the requirements of the Planning
and Development Act and the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act 2002. The Plan takes the form of a Written Statement, and accompanying maps. If any conflict or
ambiguity arises between what is contained in the written statement and the supporting plans, the written statement will take precedence.
The purpose of the Clarinbridge Local Area Plan is to inform the general public, statutory authorities, developers and other interested bodies of the policy framework and broad land use
proposals that will be used to guide development in Clarinbridge over the six year life span of the Plan. The aim of the Plan is to set out a framework for the future development of the village, which will take place in a coordinated and orderly manner.
