Call for Expressions of Interest for the delivery of Social and/or Affordable Housing via Advance Purchase Agreements and Land Acquisition

Galway County Council is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of turnkey housing developments for:

• Social Housing Delivery
• Affordable Purchase Housing delivery
• Land Acquisition

Expressions of Interest for the provision of Turnkey Social Housing Delivery
Turnkey developments, to be of interest to the Council, should ideally be in close proximity to services within an urban settlement/town/village, and within walking distance of shops, schools and local amenities. Housing Design and Construction Standards must at a minimum meet the requirements of all relevant statutory planning and building control requirements.

Expressions of Interest for the provision of Turnkey Affordable Purchase Housing Delivery
Galway County Council is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of turnkey housing developments for delivery of affordable housing across County Galway. Turnkey developments, to be of interest to the Council, should ideally be in close proximity to services within an urban settlement/town/village, and within walking distance of shops, schools and local amenities. Housing Design and Construction Standards must at a minimum meet the requirements of all relevant statutory planning and building control requirements.

Expressions of Interest for the Provision of Residentially Zoned Lands
Galway County Council is seeking expressions of interest for the acquisition of zoned residential lands (Phase 1 and 2) for the delivery of housing in Galway County.

All interested parties must be registered on the eTenders platform in order to submit a query or seek clarifications on any of the above at www.etenders.gov.ie

Expression of interest documents can be downloaded through eTenders www.etenders.gov.ie or on Galway County Council’s website www.galway.ie

Completed submissions can be submitted online via www.etenders.gov.ie and can also be made in writing.

Written submissions should be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked and addressed as follows:

The latest date and time for receipt of submissions is 4.00 pm Thursday the 30th of January 2025.

Please note that Galway County Council is not obliged to purchase any turnkey housing development or land submitted as part of this process.
