Galway County Council issue Air Emission Licences for Activities under the Third Schedule of the Air Pollution Act, 1987.
A copy of Galway County Council's current Air Licence Application form is available on request.
Currently Galway County Council have issued Air Licences to the following :
- AP01/06 (R01) Roadstone Wood Ltd. Ballygarraun/Pollkeen, Twomileditch, Co. Galway for the operation of a Blacktop Coating Plant issued on 30/9/2008. Previous licence AP01/06 issued 27/11/2006
- AP10/13 Harrington Concrete and Quarries. Ardgaineen, Claregalway, Co. Galway for the operation of a Macadam/ Asphalt Plant issued on 15/11/2013
- AP11/14 Mortimor Quarries Ltd., Belclare Tuam Co. Galway for the operation of a Macadam/Asphalt Plant issued 23/06/2015
- AP13/20 John Madden & Sons, Tonroe, Ardrahan Co. Galway for the operation of a Macadam/Asphalt Plant issued on 09/08/2022.
Air Pollution Licence Appeals
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is now responsible for processing Air Pollution Act licence appeals. For further information in relation to these appeals, and the appropriate fee payable, please refer to Air Pollution Appeals section on the EPA website at the following link http://www.epa.ie/licensing/air/actappeals/
Any person may make a submission or objection in relation to appeals to the EPA at Licensing Section, Environmental Protection Agency, Johnstown Castle, County Wexford Y35 W821
