In general Galway County Council is only permitted to remove vehicles from public property. It will not enter private property to remove a vehicle, unless there are exceptional circumstances. If it is on private property, it is the landowners responsibility to ascertain ownership and if necessary remove the vehicle and notify Gardai before removal takes place.
