DANGEROUS STRUCTURES
The Council has the power to deal with any building, wall or other structure of any kind; or any part of, or anything attached to, a building, wall or other structure of any kind which is or is likely to be dangerous to any person or property.
A Dangerous Structure can be notified to the Council via the Dangerous Structure Complaints Form or details can be emailed to environment@galwaycoco.ie
The Council has an agreed policy in place with regard to dangerous structures.
DERELICT SITES
The Council is obliged to establish and maintain a Register of Derelict Sites. The Council has the power to deal with any land which detracts, or likely to detract, to a material degree from the amenity, character or appearance of land in the vicinity of the land in question.
A copy of the Derelict Sites register for County Galway can be requested by emailing environment@galwaycoco.ie
A Derelict Site can be notified to the Council via the Derelict Sites Complaint Form or details can be emailed to environment@galwaycoco.ie
