Our Role
Each Local Authority has an Integration Team that offers support and guidance to:
- Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP)
- International Protection Applicants
- Programme Refugees
- Those with Refugee, Subsidiary Protection, or Permission to remain status
We help migrants from the above groups to access services and supports, helping them to integrate into the community. We work with local and national organisations to identify and address barriers to integration.
What can we do for you?
- Direct you to the services that you may need, including health care, education, and training
- Help you find English classes and opportunities to improve your English
- Tell you what events are happening in your area
- Answer questions about how things work in Galway and Ireland
- Give you information on social welfare supports and employment opportunities
- Discuss issues that are arising for you and hopefully find a solution!
